Neil joined Sandwell Council in 1993 as a carpenter before moving into the office role as Technical assistant in 2002 and then as Operational Manager in 2004. More recently fulfilling the role as A Business Manager, being given the lead role over the implementation of Sandwell’s new IT systems and processes. Neil has a strong understanding of Sandwell’s vision and overall aim to introduce these systems to meet this need. Neil has worked very closely with the Kirona team to introduce the Job Manager platform into Sandwell Council and more recently the back office Work Hub system for the Repairs team.

In support of their continuous improvement and channel shift agenda, Sandwell Council set out an ambitious technology refresh programme through which, they have replaced failing legacy systems and mobile hardware, with a view to improving efficiency and productivity of employees resulting in improved services for our residents.
This session will explore how by working closely with their long-term technology partner Kirona, Sandwell Council have developed and delivered an innovative platform to support the delivery of their property repairs operation with the scope to roll it out across other council departments.
