The Open University chosen as a supplier to the public sector for management and digital degree apprenticeships
The Open University (OU) is delighted to announce its successful bid to become one of the chosen suppliers of the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship and Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship for public sector organisations across England.
The decision by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) means that public sector organisations looking to develop management and digital skills through degree apprenticeships can save crucial time and resource by fast-tracking the procurement process, while ensuring good governance, through partnering with the OU.
CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.
“Public sector organisations can partner with us in confidence, knowing that the Crown Commercial Service has deemed us one of the best value, most competitive providers of the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship and Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship,” says David Willett, Corporate Director at the OU. “We look forward to building on our rich history with public sector organisations by providing high quality degree apprenticeships that engage, train and retain new and existing staff and improve organisational performance.”
As a result of the successful bid, public sector organisations can procure these degree apprenticeships through the OU at a preferential rate.
The OU has over 15 years’ experience in delivering work-based learning programmes to the public sector and nearly 50 years’ experience of providing knowledge and skills to busy working adults. Through tutor-supported blended learning delivery, the OU offers flexible learning that fits around organisational needs, that minimises time away from the workplace and that apprentices can apply immediately to their role.
